AIR CONDITIONING.

Make sure your air condition is fully charged up and operating correctley, this will make your journey as comfortable and stress free as possible, especialy if you do get caught in a traffic jam.


TYRES

Make sure they have ample tread depth and are set to the correct pressures, especially when you are ladened with extra luggage. Tyre tempratures wil rise dramatricaly when driving at higher speeds on hot road surfaces.This will find any stress areas which can cause the tyre to bulge and in turn cause a dangerous blow out.

FILTRATION

Make sure your in car pollen filters have been changed to keep all occupants comfortable especialy hayfever suffers. Check the engines air filter is clean to maximise the engines efficiency and prolong its life,also better fuel consumption.

ENGINE COOLING SYSTEM.

Keep coolant level topped up regulary, the hotter our summer the more load this system is under.If you have to keep topping the system up then this not normal. Leaks must be found as soon as possible, this will prevent any additional damage being caused to other components, for example on many vehicles the water pump is driven by the cam belt, when a water pump leaks long enough it seizes up breaks the cam belt and bends the valves in the engine and can cause around £1000 worth of damage. If the pump had been diagnoised at an eallier stage the cost would have been around £150!!
